Macado's. 120 Church Ave SW. Roanoke
Macado's is one of my favorite spots downtown. The cool murals painted on the inside make you feel like you are eating at a street side cafe in Cuba. Tres cool! For more on Macado's, visit their website HERE ...linking with Monday Mural
It's been centuries since I've been in Macado's--a fun place to eat.
ReplyDeleteI checked out their site, wow what a menu. I would try everything. Looks cool too.
ReplyDeleteOne of the many things I miss most about living in Dallas, restaurants with great food. Too much competition to be bad. My choices here are The Fillin' Station for home style cooking and Subway. Oh, I forgot, we have a convenience store that sells pizza. I'll take one of those Quesadillas!
ReplyDeleteI really like these murals and bet I would like the place as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely mural to watch at while having a drink or meal.
ReplyDeletei love the sloppy joe part ... so cool! ( :
ReplyDeleteIt's a really fun interior!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to visit!
ReplyDeleteLots to look at while digesting lunch.
ReplyDeleteFantastic murals! I love it when restaurants make you feel like you are really "somewhere". :)
ReplyDeletePS: Have you ever thought of removing some of the advertisements from your page? There is always this giant block thing that covers up the pictures and I can't figure out how to make it go away. :(
i took an ad off that i think is responsible...please let me know if it continues because i can't see it!
DeleteI think the one you removed is the one in question. I noticed it as well.
Deleteoh good!!
DeleteIt's gone!!! Thank you!!! I hated that thing. :)
DeleteWhat a neat looking place. Plus….I see some handsome young men there as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool! At first I could not tell what is real and what is not! This will for sure go on my visiting Roanoke list.
ReplyDeleteTheir menu is awesome! Now I want to drive all the way there just to eat there!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool decor!
ReplyDeleteYou have some very cool eateries in Roanoke. I would love to eat here. That is a great mural!
ReplyDeleteQuite an eclectic looking place. I had a look at the menu- there'd be at least something that I'd go for.
ReplyDeleteThe guy who started Macado's and Spanky's was one of my managament teachers at JMU, one of the best teachers that I had there as he came from
ReplyDeletethe real world and not the text book one. I haven't been in the restaurants in a long time but when the old man ran them it was really a neat experience.
I even get that feeling looking at your pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like this place!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun place.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how decor can give a restaurant a unique feeling.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought it was an outdoor scene until I looked harder. I can see why you like to visit this place. Murals can evoke a place or time. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI can see why this is a fav spot Tanya, is the food as good as the decor.. it must be I guess or you wouldn't go back :)
ReplyDeleteLooks nice!:)
