This was back in May, in Hampton. I think a Memorial Day Parade had just ended. It seems at every festival we go to lately, you are bound to see a guy on stilts! What's up with that?! Is this a new trend sweeping the nation?
It's cold and rainy here today. Just a yucky day.

A subliminal attempt, maybe, to promote tall men's wear? :-)
ReplyDeleteTwo people to look up to ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love slits...for years we've been enjoying seeing a variety of people in costumes lunking around on them during the Avignon Summer Festival-their balance fascinates me, we've not seen them anywhere else, not yet anyway.
ReplyDeleteI can't ever actually remember seeing anyone in stilts, except in photos.
ReplyDeleteWe used to make our own stilts and walk the neighborhood. More innocent times.
ReplyDeleteI need some stilts; you know, it would help me to get to those upper cabinets I never can get into!!!
ReplyDeleteHot and sunny here----ooops sorry about that.
Have a great Monday!
We are having a yucky day here too. Rain and grey clouds.

a new/old trend. i like it. i think it used to be done a lot years ago.
ReplyDeleteYucky day here too. Tornado watch, severe thunderstorms and then plunging temps.
ReplyDeleteThe kids would love the comeback. Haven't seen them in Texas.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how those people can stabilize themselves. They are fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun when they bring things that are enjoyable and for the better good! I like them!
ReplyDeleteThose are some tall dudes all right! I have seen a few around here lately during parades.
ReplyDeleteWe have temps about 10 degrees. The wind whipping the snow around makes it feel like -9. Hope this makes your day feel a little better.
Definitely patriotic. Same type weather up here in Connecticut.
ReplyDeleteIt was a yucky day here too but I saw no one on stilts! These are fun and they've always fascinated me!
ReplyDeleteThat takes balance! I think the last time I saw someone on stilts was during our Winterlude.
ReplyDeleteLook like happy guyes.
ReplyDeleteOpps guys.
ReplyDeletehaha! I'd say! I don't think I'm coordinated enough to walk with stilts.
ReplyDeleteI've always been amazed at people who could walk on stilts! They look happy and very patriotic!
