The Artful Dodge . 47 Court Square . Downtown Harrisonburg
On Sunday we drove up to Harrisonburg to visit Ashlyn. She's been wanting to give us a tour of JMU. Unfortunately my camera decided to act all wonky so I only got a couple pics of campus, then miraculously it came back to life as we were leaving campus. I think it was the batteries, or 1 bad one because when I moved them out and put them back in a couple of times it decided to work. Anyways, saw this colorful mural downtown for Monday Murals ...you can visit the Artful Dodger's website HERE

Oh, I didn't know they had a mural there! I'll have to check it out sometime. Murals are not that prevalent in the Valley, except in Luray.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cool place to hang out and have good cuppa coffee. BTW, I have camera that does the same thing. The battery is supposedly charged up, but all of a sudden a red symbol starts flashing and it says change the battery. Well, I have learned as you have, that if I just take it out and put it back in then it's fine. Sometimes we all get cranky I guess.
ReplyDeleteHadn't seen those.
ReplyDeleteIn an emergency, I've found taking batteries out and reinserting can give me a little more 'life' too. Sometimes, I think cameras have a mind of their own.
ReplyDeletecute little scenes. glad the camera decided to start up again.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an old filling station or garage put to good use. Colorful mural it is! Re. your comment on my blog today: never had lox??!! Seems like a sacrilege to me; give it a try. NUM!
ReplyDeleteNice murals on this Monday morning!
ReplyDeleteI have this exact same picture! How fun that we live so close to each other. We go to Harrisonburg about once a month. But I did not know what this place is. I looked at the menu and it looks good! Have you ever eaten there? There is a furniture place in Charlottesville called "The Artful Lodger".
ReplyDeleteno, we were just walking by...i was telling everyone to go into that rotunda with the water fountain inside so i could get a picture of them and then noticed the mural across the street! we ate at jess's hot dog place though, really good!

ReplyDeleteThat's a good one, Tanya!
ReplyDeleteMy trick is to go out totally forgetting to put the battery in the cameras. Annoying. Love these murals.
ReplyDeleteFun mural!

ReplyDeleteThat's a great one Tanya! I like the flag too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun mural.
ReplyDeleteKind of an unusual mural. Glad you had a chance to visit your daughter. It must be hard this year without her at home.
ReplyDeleteit is hard BUT she's only an hour and a half away so she's down here often!
DeleteThis mural definitely conveys the message that this is the place to hang out with the in-crowd. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed this when you originally posted!
