Main Street . Pamplin City . Appomattox County
On Sunday we took a little drive to Pamplin City. I had been wanting to see abandoned Main Street ever since I first heard about it. I don't know why it is abandoned and will need to dig a little deeper to find out. The buildings are currently used for storage and there's buzz of a revitalization once the High Bridge Trail connects to Pamplin.
I'll show you more of the buildings this week :)

wow, it needs some work... but such great bones - as they say. way cool!! ( :
ReplyDeleteWow, almost looks like a movie set! That would be cool if it were revitalized at some point.
ReplyDeletesad and a bit eerie.
ReplyDeleteOh, so sad! A ghost town right here in good old Va. Where is this? I would love to go! What is the population? Does anyone even live in the city? Did a huge mall do away with downtown?
ReplyDeleteI hope Main Street can be returned to its former glory.
ReplyDeleteThat little town needs some love. The buildings are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. A real ghost town.
ReplyDeleteFascinating, we visited Rhyolite ghost town in Nevada a year or so ago. But it wasn't as 'complete' as this!
ReplyDeleteIt's really a shame in a way why especially a group of buildings like that with brick and stone all so durable that folks would just walk away from it all. Of course I'll have to know more about this place! Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteRather forelorn, really.
