Had to pick Ashlyn up over at Brugh's Mill on Sunday...this barn is right off exit 156 in Troutville. I was in too much of a hurry to really grab a good shot but I do need to make the effort to run back up there as there were a couple of great looking barns right there off the exit...worth exploring....SOON!

ReplyDeleteThat looks huge, lots of hiding spots.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely worth another trip. Old buildings and barns have so much character...it always makes me wonder about the history.

ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous photo Tanya!
ReplyDeleteLooks really old and rustic.
ReplyDeleteBoy, can you find them!!! This one is awesome, and your capture is great. Like the way you processed the image. One of these days I am going to have to meet you and we will have to go our barn hunting. You asked if we were cold up here...the answer is YES! This old farmhouse is always drafty even with lots of blown in insulation and siding + double windows. We do not have central heat but instead use propane heaters in three of the room s downstairs. And I am form Florida...so you know I am COLD...BRRRRRR. If I am not going to get any snow then I would rather it would go ahead and jump to Spring. genie
ReplyDeleteBeautifully saturated blue sky! Love the charming red barn with the perfectly rusted roof. The area around exit 156 looks promising.
ReplyDeleteGreat old barn worth going back to and wander between the buildings and around the back.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a charming barn, and I think you got a pretty good picture of it.
