A picture a day from around the Roanoke, VA area.
The trees in the background look like overgrown weeds, adding to the look of abandonment. Today is the last day for students here!
Tanya, don't tell the kids here. They have to wait until mid July and then only 6/7 week vacation time. Love your photo...nice secluded place.
I wonder how happy the house would look if someone cleared away a few trees and fixed it up. Nice catch!
Actually, it doesn't look that bad to me. Would be a nice secluded retreat.
Looks like it would make a nice home if the place was cleaned up.
another one just about overgrown!
A fine shot of this old place nestled in the trees. A fine "find" to post.
I'd love to fight my way through the trees/brush and explore that place. Looks wonderful. I hope that it doesn't remain abandoned. It looks like there's furniture or something in that upstairs window. Perhaps just things left behind.
I like your shot through the trees! Wow, summer vacation already?!?
No summer holiday here for schoolkids until the beginning of July! And no sad old farmhouses hiding in lush spring green either.
This shot is so very frame-worthy! Beautiful!
I enjoy seeing your photos of places I pass each week! We live in a beautiful county and I never tire of seeing it through fellow residents' eyes.
That could be such a great place.
It's being swallowed up! I'd like to live there, though.
Nice shot! We have so many abandoned farmhouses here... I've gotten used to it.
I wouldn't say it's dilapidated, but it is in need of some tender loving care! Nice find. My Rurality: http://lauriekazmierczak.com/abstract/
You did very well to spot this place, let alone manage a photo of it!
