This was my view yesterday. If you read my post yesterday you would know I had to get my little mini-van, Betsey, (yes, she has a name) serviced. I had to go downtown. I brought a chair and sat out in front with my camera and a book because the weather was perfect! Sunny and 50's! 10 minutes later they were done with my vehicle and off I went! That was FAST!
So anyways, for those that don't know the drill, first of the month is Theme Day for the City Daily Photo Group and the theme for this month is ENTRY. To see other interpretations of the theme, visit CITY DAILY PHOTO :)

Now that is a front porch that looks very much like home.
ReplyDeleteTen minutes! Well that didn't give you much reading time Tanya :) It did give you time for a super 'entry' shot thought!
ReplyDeleteNice spot to sit awhile and relax, good to hear Betsey is back on the road!
ReplyDelete10 minutes wow Betsey must have been in good shape. And I love the photo, as I am a sucker for porches, white and brick so a perfect mix and an enjoyable entry shot.
ReplyDeleteClassic classic classic ! Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteAnd 10 minutes ?! Unheard of !
An inviting entryway!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that it just didn't take them 10 minutes to make a bill.
ReplyDeletewell honestly, i was a bit concerned but it ran smooth all the way home! no noise!
Deletepretty place! sad they had to add the warning sign.
ReplyDeleteyes, it's not in the nicest of areas...but there are so many great old homes like this
DeleteEntry way is inviting, the sign is NOT. Ha!
ReplyDeletei know! i thought it made the theme a juxtaposition!
DeleteYou don't see brick pillars like that on newer homes, just the plastic ornamental ones.
ReplyDeleteThis is like being back in the middle of the XXth century, love it!
ReplyDeletethat looks a lovely place to sit awhile
ReplyDeleteWhite clapboard and brick made an effective combination. Not one you ever get in France!
ReplyDeleteYou used your waiting time wisely Tanya plus captured us a nice "Entry" pic.
ReplyDeleteLooks like those owners didn't want you peering into their house by entry or window!
ReplyDeleteSo homely and lovely...
ReplyDeleteWell, Tanya, you just sit right there and fill me in on all of the town's latest gossip!
ReplyDeleteNice porch.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of my grandmother's house when I was a kid. We used to sit on her porch and shell peas from her garden.
ReplyDeleteI envy you having a porch! I just love them and yours is perfect!
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot! Very evocative. I can't help but think that at other times there may be someone sitting on the chair on that porch watching the world go by.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to take your camera. So many people would carry a book to read while waiting on repairs.
ReplyDeleteI love this porch and the many questions it poses.
Bises,
Genie
I like the red chair ~ very homey!
