I wish this had turned out better. We were cruising down 581 (don't worry, I wasn't driving) when I saw this and scrambled as quick as I could to get my camera out. I've seen them out there before. Not a lot of Obama fans.
Linking with Signs, Signs and Good Fences since I figured this is a pretty good fence and keeps you from falling off the bridge and getting squashed like a bug ;)
*Please come back tomorrow to play along with Willy Nilly Friday 5! Link opens at midnight, Eastern! Be there or be square!*

yes I am glad you ere not driving!! You got a great shot there.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed you got such a good photo knowing you were driving/riding in the passenger seat. There isn't a lot of time for these things, gone in the blink of an eye.
ReplyDeletesure hope no one jumps. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, good thing I waited. The first comment I wrote didn't go through. Geez, I wish they would fix this problem!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture while riding down the highway! And my thought was that I hope no one throws or drops anything over the edge. I just read about a woman that was injured in that way. I'll see you tomorrow!
Were they out when Georgie Boy was starting wars around the world? I guess not! What a damn liberal I can be. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeletei'm going to have to read that story, i hadn't heard about it.
ReplyDeletei try not to talk politics ... but we have been doing so at my parents dinner table every Sunday. when we can get there. i don't understand why these folks are coming over? i guess what does it mean for us? what will change? when are we going to help our folks that live in this US walls. so many need our help.
ReplyDeletehave you been to West VA or any other coal mining state? they really have a lot to say about Pres. Obama. don't get between them & their work. they know the job is hard work but they have been doing it for years. ) :
oh, i have not heard about what Cheryl is speaking of... i wonder? i will have to look into it more.
i'm not a politicky person either...but our borders are a HUGE problem!
Deleteyep... probably saves a lot of people from themselves...
ReplyDeleteI agree, hopefully no one jumps. Great capture and so happy you pulled over before shooting this!
ReplyDeleteI try not to voice my political opinions, but our border problems need addressed now, not later. Great shot!
ReplyDeletethis signs seem very dangerous
ReplyDeleteWe have a local man that puts out these signs near his house....on a busy corner. He gets mixed responses! lol Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar demonstration on a freeway overpass here in Santa Rosa last week or so. I thought it would be a great photo op, then forgot all about the BIG day when it arrived. Thank you for visiting my Not So Good Fence. Incidentally, a fair amount of the travel pictures on my blog are taken from the driver's seat. Always on lonely back roads though when no one else is around and there is nowhere to pull a small house off to the side of the road safely.
ReplyDeleteWe have the same problems in the UK but everyone is so (has to be) PC that the discussion never really takes place.
ReplyDeleteA telling photograph Felicia.
It's funny that there are still Obama supporters...guess it really isn't funny. Sad.
ReplyDeletea really good fence it is, protecting people from falling...
ReplyDeletePS....I'm curious about the "Willy Nilly"....I have composed a blog post this morning that lists a few humorous things...but more than 5. May I still link up?
ReplyDeleteabsolutely!! will be happy to have you!
DeleteI sometimes try to take pictures while driving. Have to make sure no cars are near in any lanes, though!
ReplyDelete~
The main immigration problem we have in Canada is guns coming in from the States!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the most interesting photo ops are seen while driving! When you comment on my blog and I click on your name, it doesn't take me to your blog. Glad I found you on Facebook. Love keeping up with my Neighbors to the north!
ReplyDeleteJanis
You had to be very quick to get this shot!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried taking pics from a car yet, though I have in a train.
ReplyDeleteha, well i'm a passenger a lot so i get many from the passenger seat or else my husband gets annoyed when i tell him to pull over too many times haha...never got them from a train though lol
DeleteThey need to choose a better place. People could wreck their cars trying to read the signs!
ReplyDeletetotally agree!! the freeway overpass is no place to be doing anything like this, no matter what it's about! very unsafe!
DeleteLots of signs there...most anti-Obama I presume.
ReplyDeleteyeah, this was heading south, maybe the north side of the freeway was pro lol
DeleteWow. I can understand being upset by things, but isn't there something more productive that one can do with their time??? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the shot.
ReplyDeleteSo many issues these days.....I admire people with a cause but I think there may be a better way to get their message across!!
ReplyDeleteI think there was something similar going on on a bridge in Lynchburg the other day.
ReplyDeleteThat serves the purpose of a fence, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI missed a shot of the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile yesterday. I guess your a quicker draw.
ReplyDeleteLooks a little dangerous, great shot!
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks dangerous but it might draw people's attention.
ReplyDeleteSincerely from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Wow.. you were able to get a great shot of that little demonstration! Thank goodness for those kind of fences, for sure! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteGood for them!
ReplyDeleteCalling by from the signs meme, well done for capturing two memes in one photograph.
