In Salem, right next to yesterday's 7-UP sign.
Now for 5's!
1) It gets on my nerves when people don't pull all the way up to the line at a red light. Just saw some guy that must have been back from the line at least 3 car lengths. He wasn't even old! That causes traffic back ups. Pull forward, stop at the line.
2) Then you have people on the opposite side of that that tailgate like crazy. Guess what? You wouldn't have to constantly tap on your breaks if you left a little room between you and the bumper in front of you.
3) Thinking it's too bad that more people don't drive as wonderfully perfect as myself ;)
4) THESE DOGS will make you smile!
5) One of my favorite summer snacks, sliced cucumbers with a little lemon juice and salt sprinkled on top. Especially since we've been getting cucumbers like crazy out of the garden!
Now it's your turn! List 5 randoms, link up and visit blogs! Have fun and have a great weekend!!

Oh lol, don't drive in Paris! :-) Lovely little house, is that a boat?
ReplyDeleteyes, that's a boat, almost as big as the house!
DeleteHave a great weekend... and I won't even start on bad drivers!
ReplyDeleteI've been away too long, I didn't know you're doing a willy nilly 5. The dogs made me laugh out loud - and so did your driving comments. I share your frustrations!
ReplyDeletethe funny things is - the other day i was yelling at a driver because they were honking at someone for not going. i quickly said that is not nice that person might not be having a good day. etc. ... you know never know. but then it was not even an hour later & i was yelling at someone because they were taking forever. my hubby reminded me & i was like OOPS. i guess we all have driver moments we wonder about??! ha. ha!! ( :
ReplyDeletei think compared to most drivers i do very well. but i have my moments. i guess. ha. ha!!
enjoy your weekend.
I think the swimming dogs are the coolest photos ever. Too bad you'll never get the boxers in there; sissies! I agree….if everyone drove as great as you AND I, then all would be right in the world.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
LOVE cold cucumber sandwiches... or just cukes and vinegar.
ReplyDeleteLove that little house. When people tailgate I usually slow down, then they get the hint or pass me by with that friendly finger gesture. I just laugh.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest on the road peeve nowadays is those drivers who stop at red lights and pull out their phones to text...very aggravating to sit behind them until they realize the light has turned green. I don't like honking because I know what it feels like to be honked at. But still...pull over somewhere people!
ReplyDeletei had to come back and find your post. it showed up in my reader last night but you must have hit publish by mistake. :) i'm really glad i don't have to drive much these days. my patience has worn thin. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable little white house Tanya and yes those dogs did make me smile although some of them had very scary teeth :) The drivers in Perth aren't any better than the ones you describe.. except me of course, like you I'm perfect :)
ReplyDeleteSince I walk a lot I seem to have the opposite problem with people, they all pull too far over the line, making it hard for me to walk with the recommended street crossing area.
ReplyDeleteThose dogs were so fun to see with their eyes and mouths wide open to grab the ball.
ReplyDeleteI used to live in the Twin Cities and you saw every kind of driver doing all kinds of things while they were driving. I live in a tiny town now with no stoplights so my frustration level is way down.
Another reason pulling up to the traffic light is a good idea. I was waiting behind a lady who had pulled short way too short from the light. The light wouldn't change because she hadn't gone over the sensor which changes the traffic light - we were on the left-turn green arrow. I didn't want to freak her out by going up to her and just as I had made my mind up to do just that, a man behind us came up and politely told her why the traffic light wasn't changing. The long line behind us was on our way soon afterwards :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with your traffic rants, I'll add mine, the one that get's me worst and it happen while driving my 40' school bus and in my car are people who no longer come to a complete strop or even slow down before taking the 'free' right hand turn we have in WA state. I come to a complete stop and then the guy behind me comes with me as I proceed like they are hooked to my rear bumper! Grrrr! Sorry I didn't know you'd picked up Nancy's meme, but I'll link up next Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so agree with your #3!
ReplyDeleteOh lovely to find another linkup for Friday, Thoughtless drivers that don't indicate, that is my particular annoyance..
ReplyDelete#5 sounds good. I like cucumbers and onions in vinegar. I'll try to remember to play along this Friday.
ReplyDeleteCute little place!
ReplyDeleteTraffic must be the same everywhere!
