ReplyDeleteNice work catching two memes in one spot Tanya :) So your boys are entering the teen years.. They grow up way too fast for my liking :)
ReplyDeleteYes, have been to Arlington. Indeed a special place.
ReplyDeleteI hope they never stop this tradition.
ReplyDeleteoh, i like the veteran parking! nice! thanks, tanya.
ReplyDeleteSaw the ceremony years ago; very impressive.
ReplyDeleteWe went to see it when we were in DC a few years ago. Very moving place.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a memorable place to visit.
ReplyDeleteVisiting Arlington Cemetery is definitely on my list of places to see. The tomb is quite impressive.
ReplyDeleteGreat pix .. The parking spaces are a fine idea.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this place only in documentaries and movies, but I would like to visit it sooner or later...
ReplyDeleteI like the 2 different fences in the first shot
ReplyDeleteI've been there and the whole area is so special to visit. Thanks for the reminder, and the fences.
ReplyDeleteI've visited Arlington. But probably not when it was so cold and windy!
ReplyDelete~
I totally agree with you, Tanya. A must see!!
ReplyDeleteThis area is definitely on my bucket list. I love that they have parking spaces for veterans!
ReplyDeleteThis would be a place I'd visit if I had the opportunity. I like the concrete fencing in the background of that first shot.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the parking but I do remember standing still next to that tomb... and a long walk in the cemetary.
ReplyDeleteIt has been many years since I've been there, but I will agree that it is certainly worth going to.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit that!
ReplyDeleteI like that parking idea. Our Home Depot has special parking for Vets and active military, too. I've had the privilege to be able to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington. It was very moving...
ReplyDeleteI've been here several times. Always a moving experience.
ReplyDeleteI too have been there several times. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a great place to visit! Love the parking too.

Maybe someday we will make it there....
ReplyDeleteNice photos.
ReplyDeleteAt least the soldier walking patrol seems to have a heavy coat and a warm hat. Otherwise, this would be a very nasty duty, no matter how great an honor to be selected for this service.
ReplyDeleteThe Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a fine monument. All presidents in memory have placed flowers there on Veteran's Day, as well they should.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect "fence" at the Monument. Loved your shots. Also, I LOVE the veterans parking signs! That's very cool!
ReplyDeleteI love love love LOVE the veterans parking spots. Can you tell I love it?
