South Main Street . Downtown Pearisburg
Completed in 2009 by artist Jane Bode, these murals depict the history of Pearisburg and surrounding Giles County.
The panels feature early settlers crossing the New River on what was known as Snidow's Ferry...the Andrew Johnson house, built in 1829, still standing today (I'll show you a picture of that tomorrow)...and the old Savoy Hotel as it looked in 1920...the hotel was demolished in the early 60's
