Andrew Johnston House . Pearisburg
Terrible photo but I wanted to show you the house since it was in the mural from yesterday. We pulled up and noticed the house would be open for tours in about an hour. I got out to walk around and take some pics when Nick said "Let's just go see something else and come back when it opens." ....so I only snapped this ONE terrible picture before leaving and then we never made it back. Nick was in a hurry to go see Dismal Falls that I showed you HERE ....anyways, this house was built in 1829 and is the oldest brick house in Giles County...For more info on the house Click Here ...linking with Rubbish Tuesday .....oh, we got our snow yesterday/last night...about a foot of it! Finally!
Oh, and can you vote for me again today?!! Please!

nice brick with white accents. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice red bricks. The white really makes it stand out the front entrance. .
ReplyDeleteQuite a lot of history in that place.
ReplyDeleteYou got more snow that we did. :-(
ReplyDeleteThis is a strange looking house! Part ranch, part two story, it looks like two different houses! Maybe the lower section was added on later. I tried to vote the other day and it would not let me, I will go back, as I don't give up easily!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I can relate to what you are saying about not getting back to a place to take more photos. Happens all the time. I like what you got just the same :).
ReplyDeleteInteresting house!
ReplyDeleteNice looking home.
ReplyDeleteRed brick with white is always a favorite of mine, Tanya.
ReplyDeleteStill looks in great condition!
ReplyDeleteI like it. It seems green shutters, white paint and brick was so the thing back in the day.
ReplyDeleteThere’s certainly a lot to learn about this rubbish issue. Really awesome red bricks. The white actually makes it get noticed the front entry...
