Colonial Elementary School . Blue Ridge
Today I am thankful for longer days...have you noticed each day is staying light just a little bit longer than the day before? I have to pick the boys up from track practice each evening at 5:30, sometimes 6...it used to be pitch black when I'd get them, now it is looking like dusk as we drive back home! I know we still have a bit of winter left but this is just one of those things that makes me feel like spring is right around the corner...that and the 70 degree day we just had...I want more of those! Dipping back into the winter temps though for the weekend...great! That was sarcasm :)

I love these colorful doors! I AM wondering about the huge paw print... Wasn't today beautiful? Now supposedly flurries over the weekend. YES, the return of the light! It does give one hope. What next, maybe a crocus or two?
ReplyDeleteit has something to do with their school mascot but right now i can't think of what it is! my kids didn't go here, they went to greenfield and they were the dragons :) i want to say cougars but there is already a school in the county that are the cougars so i am not sure!

ReplyDeleteNice door and composition. Yes, the days are longer. It get dark here around 5ish, when we hit spring it will be a lot longer and it happens fast. Very windy and cool here the last few days.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed the longer days. Here we are gaining about two minutes a day. That is terrific. How appropriate Colonial Elementary School is in Colonial architectural style.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice entry for a "colonial" school with the blue and red and white colors.
ReplyDeleteNice shot of the school doors! I love the lenghthening of the evenings here too! So cheering to be on the turn!
ReplyDeleteI am also so glad that the days are stretching out a bit. I don't mind the cold, but the dark days not so much! Thanks for linking up today.
ReplyDeleteLove those bricks! I've noticed the longer days too. I like spring, but not the heat in the summertime.
ReplyDeleteI love the bright blue too! And more daylight hours! Enjoy your evening! Hugs!
