Barn Charm Tuesday - Country Club Road
Driving down Country Club Road further than I've ever taken it, I came across this cute little log cabin barn. I had to stop and shoot super quick as the farmer was out and I didn't want him wondering why I was taking pictures of his place..I'm shy like that! I will have to venture back down that road and get a better shot, plus I saw a house that seems like it was built onto a silo. I kinda noticed as I was driving past. Gotta go investigate that one a little more too.
I edited this in photo flexr, not a huge fan but I didn't really like the picture much since it's so distant. I used the "bronze" effect. Kind of reminds me of "we aren't in Kansas anymore".

I just commented on another blog that I never take pictures with the people who own the property outside because I am afraid they will think Hubby and I are casing the place and will come after us with a shotgun! Farms around here, unfortunately, are prime target for theft. So, I try to keep my camera down until I am sure there is no one to make angry. :) We look so threatening with our white hair!
ReplyDeleteI really like the bronze effect!
ReplyDeleteThe bronze effect is certainly very effective, gives it a whole new perspective. Watch out for the farmer next time too!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like that! The bronze effect works nicely!
ReplyDeleteLove the bronze too. Hug B
ReplyDeleteI like the color, makes me think a giant tornado is about to hit and take the house to OZ.
ReplyDeleteThat's a barn and silo that was turned into a house some years ago that you saw; it was quite a bit of work. Be careful stopping on that end of Country Club - the road is not the best as far as sight distance! Great shot.
ReplyDeletethanks! i love when you fill me in with the rest of the story! hey, i saw you yesterday too...you were turning off etzler onto catawba and i was turning off catawba onto etzler! but i noticed too late that it was you but waved when i did, you probably didn't notice though!
DeleteI had business cards made for my blog and if I have an opportunity, I hand them out to folks along the way... especially if they're wondering why I'm taking a picture of their place. (Maybe they'll want to buy a print!) Love this shot...
ReplyDeletelove what you did with this view. all decorated up! ( :
ReplyDeleteThe wreath adds a nice touch too, besides the bronze-y edit. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm shy like that, too - but what a nice shot you got anyway! A log barn, with a wreath, no less - what a find!
ReplyDeleteI think I see a wreath on the barn! Good find, Tanya.
ReplyDeleteThat editing definitely gives it that "we're not in Kansas anymore" look!
ReplyDeletei like the 'apocalypse' feel to it! and i like that barn, too. yup, need a closer look when you're able. :)
ReplyDeleteLove log barns and all the work that must have been years ago!
ReplyDeleteThe bronze effect is really nice, Tanya!
ReplyDeleteLove the big log structure!
ReplyDeleteThat is a neat look you gave this photo, Tanya. Love the wreath on the barn!
ReplyDeletethat soft bronze effect really brings out the sky...you need to go back and get a closer shot of this.looks quite interesting from a distance!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! This one would match the outdoor sauna we built.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty photo Tanya.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what you can do to with the technology available. Looks really good. Hope that rain you mentioned stops :).
ReplyDeleteSurely looks like a place I'd like to spend a long, long time. Please have a good Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did to this, what a beautiful place! I had to laugh, as I can get pretty shy about photo-taking too:)
ReplyDeleteIt is scary when the peoplle who live there come running out . Lovely shot I like the texture that you added.
ReplyDeleteI like this shot and the photo editing you used. It gives it an aged effect that I like.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is beautiful!! Love the editing!
ReplyDeleteI did visit the rock house of Laura's. Isn't it SO cool?? I can't wait to go again. It was so much fun.
It reminded me of Oklahoma. Sometimes the sky got like that; kind of gold and eerie.
ReplyDeleteNice sepia.
ReplyDeleteI like the bronze edit too! Pretty neat that it is a log cabin barn! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish you could get a tour of this beauty, I just wanna get inside & explore it! WoW!
ReplyDeleteThe edit looks dramatic & ominous & kind of mysterious! I'm lovin it =)
