Watery Wednesday II - Glade Creek
I'm going to go out on a limb here and call this "Glade Creek" since that is the name of the road I turned on. The gravel road to the right is Pioneer Road. At the end of Pioneer sits the old abandoned house I told you about yesterday.
And what's this? More snow in our forecast? The boys have a test scheduled for Friday but their teacher said they might take it on Thursday because Friday might be a snow day if it plays out like the weatherman is saying. We'll see :)
Linking with Watery Wednesday and remember it doesn't go live until Wednesday evening if your hoping to check out more watery pics!

I like it when you drive around like that. Funnily enough here, when it snows, nobody tells people to stay at home. They only do that when it's too late and everyone has to sleep in their cars...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful setting!
ReplyDeleteWonderful light, such a peaceful looking scene. Hope the boys test goes well, on Thursday... or Friday!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect spot to fish.
ReplyDeleteYou might check the county's GIS site to see if they have waterway names on there. I can't recall if they do.
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
Having to take a test early takes the fun out of a snow day, doesn't it? You found a nice little creek.
ReplyDeletenice roadside creek.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a place I'd like to explore!
ReplyDeleteI have been along glade creek over near the parkway but I can't quite picture your view. I found a neat old truck cab from the 40s along the creek but didn't have a camera, duh. It was full of bullet holes, kind of neat. Anyway cold and more cold here. I don't need the snow on friday!
ReplyDeleteThat does look worth the drive. More snow? Ours is still coming down. Most unusual. I can't figure it at all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty scene to stumble upon! Oh, your poor boys with 1 less day to gear up for a test:) Hopefully it'll be a real snow day for them! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYou are more than welcome to some of our snow. one day of it is fun. Nearly 2 weeks is taking the micky. Hope the boys make it for their test.
ReplyDeletePretty little creek! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are supposed to get rain again this weekend. Just in time to mess up the Farmer's Market...
What a lovely, peaceful location. Imagine what it will look like with snow! : )
ReplyDeleteLovely creek and photo, perfect for your WW shot. Have a happy week ahead!
ReplyDeleteA very pretty spot!
ReplyDeletePretty crick... (as my dad would say, he was from the south). My cousins in NC in the mountains near Sparta live in Glade Valley...
ReplyDeleteIt looks so serene, I'd love to take a long walk along the side of the creek.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteWe may get snow too, though it could be the dreaded wintry mix! I just posted a watery photo and I didn't even know I it was a Wednesday thing.
ReplyDeleteThat would be full of mosquitos here. It's pretty there, though.
ReplyDeleteCool creek photo! Hope your boys get a snow day :)
ReplyDeleteLovely little creek! Hope you don't get snowed in! We have more rain headed our way.
ReplyDeleteI hope they get their snow day. What a ripoff it would be to have to take a test early, and then go to school anyway! Beautiful photo, too!
ReplyDeleteThere's a forecast of wintry mix tonight & tomorrow morning here... not looking forward to it... unless it was the weekend & I had no place to go & it was gone by Monday morning! LoL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Glade Creek w/ us! =)
