Old bottling plant in Lynchburg. Tried to find out when it was built or years in use but couldn't find anything. It makes me crazy that these great old buildings don't have histories that are easy to find.
I did get an answer to what yesterday's building was and updated the post so check it out!
Also, this is a 2 for 1 sign day:
This one is for Birdman!

Great-looking ghost signs! I agree with your comment about trying to find history on these old places - very frustrating. There are several like that in my home town.

That is a cool old brick building - I love vintage coke mages. This one should be turned into lofts or apartments or something. It's too bad it's so difficult to find information.
ReplyDeleteIt's a grand old building with the old style coke sign.
ReplyDeleteit's a beautiful old building...love the weathered bricks.
ReplyDeleteI love that old building. We have a coke bottling building, nothing near as big and nice as that one.
ReplyDeletebeautiful building!
ReplyDeleteAnother great old building. You have visited some really neat and historic places lately.
ReplyDeleteNeat pict of the Coca-Coloa plant. Love the brick building, colors and natural textures.

ReplyDeletePS-My daughter was in the Cox hosptial.

ReplyDeleteLove seeing that old coke sign! Pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteThat is a grand old building! :)
ReplyDeleteSo much character! (I have the same problem with some old structures here too - you'd think that would've changed in the internet age!)
ReplyDeleteYou're right - it can take a long time to find some history on the old buildings and then you often find nothing! Great old Coke signs on this one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful building. I can just imagine the hustle and bustle inside on a busy day back in it's prime.
ReplyDeleteThis is a grand old building. I hope it survives and is put to a new use.
ReplyDeleteLove the coke plant!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. When I first moved to where I am now I tried to find some things on a few buildings. Not much out there.
Nice looking building. I also find it frustrating finding information on some of these old architectural gems - even in large cities like Toronto and Hamilton.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many Coke "bottling plants" there are now? The drinking of Coke, in spite of all the warnings about how bad it is for your health, remains ubiquitous around the world.
ReplyDeleteThe Birdman sign is fantastic.
Re your comment on The Villages: Like most things in The Villages, the old ship wreck is fake! :)
Essences.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Friday ahead.
Great looking building. Looks like a Birdman car.
