Okay, that was weird. When I clicked on comments the first time, I was transported to the Twilight Zone....your post for June 21 was showing....something about where you went on Father's Day....and you already had a bunch of comments on it....so I went back to your main page to see what happened to this post, and here it was again....clicked on comments, and this time came here to THIS comment box. Weird. The picture for the 21st was of someone on a horse, I think. *eerie music playing*
I'm so weirded out that I don't remember what I was going to say....let me think....oh, yeah.
Don't you wonder what happened to the people who lived there and why they left? I always do. Now I know. They were left in the Twilight Zone.
lol...you crack me up....yes, i always wonder what happened to the people who lived there. sad that a place can have so much life and so many memories and then be left to sit in silence :(
and you know what's even more weird? this was taken sunday, on father's day, which i almost wrote about but didn't feel like getting into a lengthy post this morning lol
It does look deserted- I wonder what happened. The house doesn't look in too bad a shape. Sometimes I wonder if these old places are in trusts or something.

ReplyDeleteI often dream of having an old farmhouse like that. I love them!
ReplyDeleteme too! i'd pick that over a mcmansion any day!
Deletei like the way the barn is tucked back a ways.
ReplyDeleteWhether you use the textures or not, Tanya -- I always enjoy your rural captures. This is a lovely image. xo
ReplyDeletereally enjoy the rusted roof. nice rural view. ( :
ReplyDeleteis that a littler barn or just an out house?
i think it's an out house :)
DeleteLove the barn and the house, the outhouse is neat to see.
ReplyDeleteGotta check out Bent mountain

That's surprising. It looks like a great location! I'd certainly live there. It probably needs a new house, but the land itself is nice.
ReplyDeleteStunning shot. You seem to have good luck finding these interesting barns.
ReplyDeleteIt's much to pretty to go deserted. I hope someone comes to use it soon!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty rural scene. Love the rustic barn!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty location. I would love to live there. I was wondering if that was an outhouse, but you answered my question.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it's deserted. I hate to see old barns go by the wayside.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that someday I will play with textures too. Someday.
ReplyDeleteit's sad to see those old abandoned barns. Wish we could just a dry-freeze on them (and old houses, too)
ReplyDeleteIt's sad yes, but it's life I guess...
ReplyDeleteLooks like beautiful country, though, and would be nice if someone could fix it up.
ReplyDeletePerhaps someday someone could come along and fix it up...it's too bad it's deserted.
ReplyDeleteWell I wonder if I am going where Leave it to Davis went I hope so sounds like fun:)
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice shot Tanya. B
Nope:) B
ReplyDeleteI hate when people let old houses fall into disrepair. I would love to go inside that house!
ReplyDeleteIt could be so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it could be a wonderful home place...
ReplyDeleteJust like a mini version of a Ghost Town.
ReplyDeleteBet that the history of the face is pretty interesting, too.
