Heriatge Family Market . 36 Botetourt Road . Fincastle
This market is amazing and has only been open a little less than a year. They have a great deli and the sandwiches are so delish, so fresh! Much of the inventory is from Amish suppliers and also local goodies as well, like local farm fresh eggs!
The 2 owners came to Fincastle to start a Mennonite congregation and opened the market as a way to earn a living while building their ministry. I think they are already a huge success! Linking with Signs, Signs

ReplyDeleteI love anything that comes out of an Amish kitchen-
ReplyDeleteLove small markets like this. The food is always good.
ReplyDeleteThat is new since I was out that way. I used to visit the Mennonite bakery and cheese shops in Augusta, you will be happy if they open those in your area.

ReplyDeleteThe Fincastle Market sounds wonderful! There were Mennonite goods available near Round Top TX when we lived there. Wonderful fresh things! These hand towels have to be woven, and are beautiful! I want to enter!!!! I'll be posting, as I said, tomorrow. Oh, and the photo of the fence and cow are great. Reminds me of rural Va and AL as well, both of which I do miss.
ReplyDeleteI love these kind of markets and wish we had one close by. The dishrags look great...what a nice giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIf I hadn't just had my lunch this would make me hungry
ReplyDeleteCute building, reading about the sandwiches made me hungry! It's nice to have a place to buy fresh groceries. Great fence picture!
ReplyDeleteAbout your question, if pics from today's post is my house. Yes, it is. And thanks!
I think they have been pretty clever using the word "heritage". Sounds very appealing.
ReplyDeleteWish I could go,maybe I will sometime. We have quite a few Mennonite stores around, most famously The Cheese Shop. I like them all because of course, I am a Mennonite!!

ReplyDeleteI don't make it out to Fincastle much, so I'm not familiar with it. But it does seem a cute place!

My husband and I were visiting in Fincastle last week, and we went into this market... it's an amazing little place, with so many wonderful things... We stopped back by there on the way back to Florida and loaded up on things we liked. Wish we had one here.... Thanks for having this wonderful store.
