Brookside Par 3 Golf Course . 6303 Williamson Road . Roanoke
Like the sign says, since 1962....my husband took this with his phone for me...I've always liked this sign....linking with Signs, Signs

In the midst of our snowstorm on Monday...today and tomorrow we are having record breaking lows...they say it hasn't been this cold since the 1800's! Wow, crazy! School has been cancelled...right now it is a balmy 5 degrees with a high of 11...thankful we are tucked inside! Linking with Good Fences

And....can I bug you to vote for me again please! Even if you have already voted, you can vote once a day ;)

  3. The road that veers off of Williamson road there was the original road and went south then came back up to Williamson at the corner of Hershberger. It probably took another route prior to the late 20s but by then the end of what we call Williamson was at Hershberger. The edge of the city was down there where the civic center is and farm land was along Williamson. There is an areal photo of Hershberger and nothing is there but a barn and house near where the airport is.

  5. I adore and miss green grass, as you probably are too, or will. Be safe, and enjoy nature's winter gifts as much as you can. Spring is coming soon!

  13. I have passed that sign many times! Yes, I'm getting a little stir crazy - haven't gotten out of the house since last Saturday (aside from sledding in the yard). Our road is still pretty messy.

  21. Looks like they have had the same sign since 1962! I love it. It's been cold here too (for north Florida), but nothing like what you have.
