Old SW Roanoke
See that thingy up on the top of the house? Isn't it neat? It was hard to get a good view with all these darn power lines and I didn't want to appear to be a stalker by standing right in front of their house to get a pic haha...have a great day! It's feeling like fall around here...a little brisk start this morning!

A beautiful house and I like that thingy!
ReplyDeleteI like its design.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful old house! I love the three windows on each side upstairs. Perhaps there would be a comfy bench for reading behind them. Well, I saved your picture, then magnified it. I still could not tell what the thing on top is! I think it is just a fancy decoration of some kind. Houses nowadays do not have special little nooks, or towers, or anything really unique.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful house!
ReplyDeleteI like "brisk." It is a bit cooler here, too, if you think 85 degrees is "cooler." :) That's a fine-looking house; a duplex it appears. I dunno what that thing is up top in the middle, but I know it's not a gargoyle. Fun, though.
ReplyDeleteYes most of these old houses were turned into apartments...it kind of bothers me for some reason I don't know why although Ashlyn lives in one like this too..I guess I just like to see them used as they once were but I guess that's just so expensive now!
DeleteWhat a cool house. And that little detail is too. Glad you caught it. I like the B&W treatment.
ReplyDeleteSo interesting! Nice B&W!
