Old SW Roanoke
At last Friday night's football game something unusual and sad happened. A fan in the stands suffered a heart attack and passed away during the game. Today I am thankful for the community I live in and am thankful that my boys are being coached by Coach Harless and learning values and life lessons from him. HERE'S a news clip of the story and how Coach and the team reacted ...Rest in Peace Mr. B

Hello, wow that is very sad. I guess it is a reminder we must all live each day like it could be our last. Prayers for the deceased and his family. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day.
ReplyDelete...sounds like the fan was doing what was enjoyable, that's what life is all about.
ReplyDeleteHow sad, but it was where wanted to be according to the article. You can't ask for more than that.
ReplyDeleteOne can only feel sorrow for his family. Life is so fragile and everything can change in a matter of seconds. I think I'm going to try to enjoy every minute of this day!
ReplyDeleteThat had to have been a major coronary for him to die so quickly.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so sad Tanya.. it would have been such a shock for everyone there. As the article mentioned he was at least where he loved to be.
ReplyDeleteOh, how terribly sad! The steeple is blue! From the sun shining on it, or is that the true color?
ReplyDeleteSo sad Tanya but at least he was where he wanted to be. We all should be out there enjoying life and everything it offers. A reminder that we shouldn't take life for granted. What a wonderful thing the coach did taking the players to let them pay their respects.
ReplyDeleteSad to hear, but nice to know how it was dealt with. Death is coming for all of us.....thanks for linking up today.
ReplyDeleteSo sad and yet reassuring on how it was dealt with.
ReplyDeleteA sweet and touching story Tanya. The coach and players, what an amazing kindness, to acknowledge Mr. B’s support of their team for so many years, and in turn to do that for his family.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome to see a bit of the good part of people. That team were all raised by fantastic parents. What a moment to be proud of those young men.
ReplyDeleteThat was an interesting story. I am a sports fan, and I have often observed that a well-coached team teaches the players much about how to live life. Discipline. Cooperating. Sharing. Complimenting the opponents. Thanking the fans. And so many more admirable traits.
ReplyDeleteWhat a moment to be proud of those young men.
