Took this shot yesterday while out. This barn is on Shaver's Farm Road in Fincastle. I've shown this one to you right here in the spring time from a different angle.
I was just telling mom the other day that some places aren't even recognizable in different seasons, same here... doesn't look like the same barn at all! LoL!
I went back and looked at the previous post. You got the best of the sky above in both! I love silos and this one looks to still be in good shape. Looking through the branches in this winter view is probably the best way to show it as it appears to be in disrepair.:)
No, our daughter lives on down in the Chesapeake/Norfolk area so we travel through Clifton Forge often. I've always tried to get that barn but it was always too blurry. I remembered this last trip and hubby slowed down for me. :)
That old silo just begs to be photographed, doesn't it. I've taken several shots of it myself.
ReplyDeletedo you know the history of it anita?
DeleteI enjoy both angles; gives a different perspective and really looks like two different structures.

ReplyDeleteLove the silo!
ReplyDeleteEach year many of these old barns just fall or are blown down, it is good to get some good photos of them as they are obsolete.
ReplyDeleteThe old barns have a lot more charm than new ones, and you never seem to run out of barns to photograph!
ReplyDeleteNice old barn on the way down! Love the silo! It appears to be in a bit better shape.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture and what a great silo! The barn looks to be leaning a little to the right! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely shot from through the branches. Pity it's in disrepair but I suppose that adds to its charm as a photography object...
ReplyDeleteI like the view through the branches. Bet it's pretty in the Spring too.
ReplyDeleteSo cool, it looks completely different in the two photos - I love the autumnal feel in this one:)
ReplyDeletesweet old place!
ReplyDeleteThat has a sort of rustic but traditional look to it. I am really enjoying your barn shots. I found a couple around here and you did come to mind :).
ReplyDeleteThe bare branches add a lot of interest to the photo. A perfect winter time view! I see the rain in your radar...cold rain is not any fun!

We both like the old, "worn" ones, don't we? I can never pass one up like this! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteYou found a great old barn with a silo. It is a little bit bent on one side but still have a lot of charm.
ReplyDeleteI love this picture!!! I love the blue sky and bare trees. Wonderful barn and very touching!
I think I can see a farm through the barn! Nice shooting!
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking that silo!
ReplyDeleteFantastic scene. So rustic.
ReplyDeleteWith the barren limbs, it makes the farm look abandoned.
