Rurality Wednesday - Breckinridge Mill Road

An old house along Breckinridge Mill Rd, Fincastle.

The snow I showed you yesterday mostly melted by the afternoon but then another band of snow came along and left a couple of more inches. With the below freezing temps overnight, and our high of only 18 today, the snow will not be going anywhere. School was cancelled again. Happy, happy, happy, but we won't be all that happy when we have to make these days up! I guess we'll worry about that when the time comes ;)

And this is my front yard today:

And a bonus of Ozzy because he just loves the snow! Here he is catching snowballs!

Rurality Blog Hop #47

For the very first time I am linking with ABC Wednesday today. I have always wanted to play along but forget every single week. This time I have a picture, by chance to go with B...for Breckinridge! Hopefully I'll remember next week :)

  1. you've houses close to a main road too, I wonder what it is like to live in these places with all the traffic. Ozzy makes a great catch! I like the Snow Queen quote from yesterday.

  2. We didn't get much snow over the mountain, just enough to make the ground look white. It was 13 so lots of ice breaking this morning. Looks like it won't let up for awhile.

  6. It looks beautiful! My husband's school has been out quite a bit for snow this year already. He's probably going to have to teach well into June now!

    1. yeah :( we actually have them built into our school calendar as make-up days...if there's not a snow day to make up, we get it off...so they won't be added to the end of the school year...i don't know how many we have built in...maybe 10 or so.

  24. A great old house. I wonder if Ozzy thought he was being shortchanged when the snowball crushed.
