These pretty purple flowers are popping up all over the pasture and around the pond. I don't know what they are, if they are weeds, but they sure are pretty and keep the bees abuzzin'...
je ne connais pas (au début, j'ai pensé que c'était de la lavande, mais non), mais elle est belle, elle me fait pensé aux billes : les agathes I do not know (at first I thought it was lavender, but not), but it is beautiful, it makes me think the ball: agathes
I would guess lupine. I have an old wildflower book that was my grandmother's. It's tall with blue or purple blossoms, a lot like this one. Really pretty, aren't they?
I thought they could be Delphinium or from Campanules'family (sorry, I don't know these names in English) but I must be wrong because these flowers are blooming in spring...No weeds, I'm sure! Tanya, I didn't find your Daily blog on our list...
Well, Tanya, I don't know what they are but, they sure are beautiful. Nothing that beautiful would I consider a weed. Actually, I don't consider 'Ragweed' a weed, because, I think it is beautiful too..;)
LOL Gramma Ann...I wouldn't consider it a weed either really. It's funny because my husband was out mowing and we left a huge patch of these, and other wildflowers (or weeds, lol) and we were wondering if our neighbors would think we were the crazy new people who left the big garden of weeds. We think they look nice so they stay :)
Not sure what they are, but they look nice.

ReplyDeleteAnd thinks for visiting, Jim, Olivier, eg, Babooshka and RR! It's good to see you all this morning :)
Not sure what the flower is called but if butterflys and bee use it then it must be okay.
ReplyDeleteI love wildflowers - thanks for sharing your photo. You are lucky to have this in your backyard.
ReplyDeleteI see those pretty purple flowers here in East TN too...but have never researched just exactly what they are. Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteI am a completely plant ignorant, but the color sure is pretty!
