Tinker Creek

Tinker Creek runs through the back of our property. The boys enjoy playing in the creek and riding their boat through it playing "river pirates"! The dogs swim right along.

Christian was supposed to have a football game this morning but we have had rain all night and it hasn't slowed down. His game has been canceled. Braden and Dalton have their first game tonight, if the rain stops!

  1. This is the perfect summer picture - unstructured adventure for the boys and their dog. I'll bet they're having fun.

  3. They're living a Swallows and Amazons childhood - how cool is that?

  4. Oh! What fun. It reminds me of my childhood. Living in the woods with a little creek. Only difference, my creek was much smaller.

Instead of a moving, it looks like you are on an extended vacation. It looks like the boys are having a ball.

    Have a splendid week-end.

  11. that does look like so much fun - even has trees to climb. Looks like the little one is ready for some up close and personal viewing of creek life.

  12. How wonderful! We have a stream/creek in the back of our apartment building as well (link), but it has steeper sides and isn't that accessible.

Thank you for your comment on my Villigen blog.

  13. I'm envious of the rain you received and truth be told I'm envious of childhood pleasure so wonderfully shown in your photo.

The closest I have come to playing in a river is last week when I took photos in the rain.

  16. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best way to raise boys - wild & free! They'll have to work hard enough when they get older. Childhood is for playing in the water!! Even better with a dog by their side!!
