I love the shape of this bridge. Our frigid temps have warmed up a bit. Sunday morning when I woke up and went outside it was 32 and actually felt warm! Imagine 32 as warm but then when you've been in the single digits, it does feel like a heatwave!
I'm continuing my Celsius campaign! You should have stated 0°C! :-)) Here the temperature has now gone up - +10°C (now it's up to you to do the formula 9/5(C)+32=F! :-))
This is really a nice bridge, must be quite old. Still in use?
Haha Peter, you keep on giving me lessons in celsius and hopefully it will catch on!
Jim, I'm not sure how old it is, maybe built about the time of the Blue Ridge Parkway as this was along it. The bridge style is similar to those along the parkway

Di, this was up at Peaks of Otter, I think we turned at the lodge towards the camp grounds.
Hello Tanya, I love the bridge, specially the stone bridge. I think about the story of it and imagine all kind of people could cross above and below of it.
jolie petit pont pour suivre la promenade.
ReplyDeletenice little bridge to monitor the walk ..

Yes, they make. And everything is natural -- stone and leaves.

Lovely little bridge..I hear what you're saying about rising temperatures but that looks and seems pretty cold!
ReplyDeleteRe: the weekend. It was fun but busy. What about yours?
Very nice picture. Looks like something the kids would like to walk under if it wasn't so cold!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bridge and all earthed over. Just lovely. I loved your female deer yesteray too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bridge! It's a little warmer here in Tennessee today, but now it's snowing.
ReplyDeleteGeorge, it just snowed here too! And it is alot warmer today. The snow was really coming down for a while there, but now it's almost all melted again!

As an engineer I appreciate the skills needed to make the bridge. As a lover of shape, form and colors it is beautiful. Lovely.
ReplyDelete*sigh* Gosh I love Virginia!!!
ReplyDeleteI love bridges too. I love the old ones in the South of France where my in-laws live.
ReplyDeleteTake care and have a happy week!

This reminds me of the bridge onto my beach here. Small but perfectly formed. I'm 300 post today. Times flies.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute little bridge.
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right.
ReplyDeleteafter the very low temperatures of friday the 20's of saturday felt like summer!!!!
I like the shape and the texture ... 34 degrees would be swim suit weather this week. Last week was 34 below zero...(didn't feel like global warming).
ReplyDeleteI love old stone bridges.
