Peaks Of Otter
On Sunday, we jumped on the Blue Ridge Parkway and headed for
Peaks of Otter.
It was a brisk, partly sunny day, and we found a hiking trail and took a little hike. This photo, is of the General Store, which was at the beginning of our hike, and closed for the winter. I liked the way the roof is all mossy. For the rest of the week, I'll show you some pictures from our hike :)

ReplyDeleteNo one knows for sure why it was named Peaks Of Otter Certainly no otters here though... Hope you enjoyed your hike.. I love that area... there are signs in the picnic area about not feeding bears... they have black bear sightings there in the warmer months of the year.
ReplyDeleteDi
I'm looking forward to this, since this is a hike I've been wanting to take. This will be a good time of year for getting views, too. (And no snakes, bears, or bugs!)

ReplyDeleteI couldn't figure out at first why the roof was green. The title really caught my eye because the Governor of our state is Gov. Otter.
