SkyWatch Friday

Yesterday morning when I took Braden and Dalton to school it started snowing! And it was actually sticking! This is taken from the drop off lane at their school from the comfort of my vehicle. Looks like big soap flakes! All the excitement over the snow was short lived though and it melted within the next hour or two.

  2. There are places where you must act quickly if you want to catch photos of the snow - like in Paris.

Have a nice weekend, with or without snow!

  3. Here it's very cold (for us, of course...), but no snow.
Well, at this very moment I've just heard on tv it's snowing in the top north of the country.

  6. ah, but I love the way you capture those big wonderful snowflakes backlit by the hazy eye of the setting sun.

  7. Nice snowy scene. Bob Ryan, the channel 4 weatherman in D.C. calls that a conversational snow. We had a few flakes in Haymarket, VA but nothing stuck. In fact, we are still waiting for our very first real snowfall. Watch it land on January 20'th!

  12. One the great things - among so many others - about having kids is getting to relive your childhood, to be there when wondrous things happen. Snow is right up there in the top ten if it isn't a common occurrence.

  18. I really can't stand when the snow doesn't stick. We came pretty close to having a white Christmas this year. Maybe 2009.

  19. You caught it while you could . . . nice catch . . . too bad it didn't amount to anything the wee folk could play with.

  20. How neat to actually catch the snow with your camera. MB

  21. It is so wonderful to get some snow when it rarely falls, just like here. If we are lucky, once in 11 years.
Nicely captured and definitely best through your car window as you actually get the sensation of 'snowing' as the flakes land on the glass. Beautiful picture.
