SkyWatch Friday
Wednesday night we didn't have any football practice and it was such a nice evening so Ozzy and I decided to run over Greenfield for a walk around the trails. This is my favorite place to walk, it's so pretty and peaceful. Occasionally we'd pass a couple out walking or a jogger but the place is so big that you feel like you are there all alone, just me and Ozzy! Since this is just 5 minutes from my house, I always wonder why I don't this more often?!
Here we stopped for one of many breaks, Ozzy isn't really big on a lot of walking and loves breaks, and I just loved the look of this field of Queen Anne's Lace with the clouds moving in, so voila, it's my SkyWatch Friday pic! To see more skies from all over the world, visit Skyley!
and if you are new around here and wondering who this "Ozzy" is, you can meet him here!
Have a great weekend and Happy SkyWatching :)

Pretty sky!
ReplyDeletePretty silhouettes against the sky!
ReplyDeleteAwww, Tanya, Ozzy is a good lil fella, doubt anyone would mess w/ ya on your walks w/ him around... except to pat & fuss over him! heheheee =)
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, I thought the Queen Ann's Lace was trees, but I see it right now... I'm such a goof! Love that beautiful & dramatic sky!!! =)
Oh dang it, I meant to type, a good *lookin'* fella... sorry
ReplyDeletelol tricia, yeah, i feel perfectly safe walking with him. he's just 5 months old but already has that protective instinct down! there was an elderly couple walking a ways behind us and ozzy was so fixated on them, constantly stopping to give them a stare down, we had to jog a ways ahead so he'd forget about them! he's a good boy!
ReplyDeleteOzzy... named after the 'prince of darkness'? hahaha The puppy probably enjoys a good ozzFest too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you angled your shot. The clouds are so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteWhat synchronicity that you and I would choose similar subject matter and shot angles for this week's SkyWatch, and then end up as next door neighbors on the SkyWatch page! I think our Mehitables had something to do with it. :-)
ReplyDeleteOf course I love your photo, and Ozzy is adorable. One of our dogs also prefers the breaks over the whole tedious "walking" part of our walks, and she says, "Alright, Ozzy! Solidarity, man." LOL
I love this angle! Such a beautiful evening. Happy friday :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky watch...p.s. Ozzy is a cutie. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletebeautifully composed!
ReplyDeleteA nice looking sky for the camera. Your sorta doing what I do, when I can. Walking or taking the bicycle on the Union Canal Towpath is always nice, except I don't have an "Ozzy" to be with me. Having a dog with you does defer any person that might have a stupid idea.
ReplyDeleteWalking the old Union Canal Towpath does get a bit tiring for me when I ride the bike. I'm just not in the shape I used to be in. You always run into other bikers, walkers, or joggers that are friendly. Usually it's just a simple "Hello" or "How yha doing?" It is quiet there. No noise. Just me, the camera, and the sound of my own footsteps. Thanks for your comment.
Be Well

Great pic, Tanya! And I know an Osma -the grand daughter of the writer of the Wizzard of Oz story. She taught me all about art/sand therapy...Have fun this weekend!
ReplyDeleteDramatic sky, set off with the sihouettes too!... good capture!....:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by Amish Stories Tanya. Richard from Amish Stories.
ReplyDeletethat looks like a giant palm tree
ReplyDeleteWonderful sky shot with a distorting angle on the Queen Anne's lace. So glad that you have a buddy for walking and to enjoy the evening sky.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
That sounds (and looks) wonderful. We've got a large natural park within 5 minutes of my house too, and my dog regularly goes there with me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photograph. Oh and Ozzy is quite handsome too.
ReplyDeleteSo these aren't trees? And I figured reading from one of the comments, Ozzy is a dog. Such a cute name.
ReplyDeleteAnd this place looks inviting indeed.
Nice photo of the sky from that angle, nicely framed, thanks for sharing with sky watch friday and thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier
ReplyDeletegreat shot - love the contrast between the Queen Anne's Lace and the sky.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful light! Great shot, Tanya.
ReplyDeleteWonderful views of the sky between the breaks.
