And that's all I know about that.....but it makes me think of "butterflies are free to fly...fly away....."
I remember walking to the 7/11 around the corner from my grandparent's house and buying the 45 of this as a kid...yes, they sold 45's at 7/11 back then!

I do like the faded murals, they are becoming ghost like
ReplyDeleteThe mural does give a great sense of freedom... Mr John is playing an outdoor concert just around the corner from us this summer, I'm sure he's still very popular too.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a 45? :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the EJ reminder - I will look it out and add to my MP3 player immediately! And, for what it's worth, I remember 45s too!
ReplyDeleteFly, fly away! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeletei like them.
ReplyDeleteLove butterflies, and this is quite a stunning mural on the wall of the building.
ReplyDeleteSo amazing . . . beyond painting kinda . . like a huge butterfly stamp collection was used . . . cool
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are huge!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely! A reminder of what is to come.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, I love it. It is different from most,no big splashes of bright color. I remember when this song came out! But I had no idea that Seven Eleven sold singles! If you still have it, it may be a collectors item.
ReplyDeleteThese days butterflies are anything but free. Like the cost of everything... up,up,up...
ReplyDeleteI love the fragile look of this - suits the butterflies!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool mural! I don't think I've ever seen one with butterflies.
ReplyDeletethis walls flies with their butterfliess
ReplyDeleteButterflies, wispy though they be, exude the breath of what it means to be free. That's a great song, too!
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly murals are lovely!
ReplyDeletePretty butterflies! They look like they have been there for awhile. I remember 45's!
ReplyDeleteI love those butterflies!
ReplyDeleteLove that photo and song.
ReplyDeleteLooks like there was a lot of color at one time. Nice butterflies!
ReplyDeleteAn unusual subject for a very nice mural...
ReplyDeleteGood memories! Buying 45s.... love it! And the mural is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteSimple but very effective! I like it!
ReplyDeleteSimple cool, lovely, greeting from Belgium
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be ghost butterflies. I like the texture time has left. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI agree they are kind of ghostly butterflies, I like them.
ReplyDeleteI like the interest murals add to a city. I didn't know they sold records at 7-11. We didn't have 7-11s where I grew up, either. Maybe that's why.
