Gosh dang, another City Daily Photo Theme Day. We are already into the 3rd month of the year, wow! So for those of you new to this, each month participants of City Daily Photo vote on a theme and this month the winner was "People on the Street"...sooooo, I present to you, my entry! This was back in August, downtown Roanoke, the Farmer's Market. We had been to the Bacon Fest. It was HOT out that day...that's what I remember most. Hot days and bacon just don't mix! To see more people on the street, or street walkers ;) visit City Daily Photo!
I want to take a second to thank you guys for your concerns about my post yesterday. I wanted to share it so that if someone stumbled across it and happened to be going through something similar, I just wanted to be able to help them out and give them the courage to call the dr! I promise now that I've already been to see my Dr. Jason, I will NOT hesistate a second to call him if I ever see anything peculiar on my skin again! I have the best bloggie friends for being concerned! Thanks again! :)

Look like an interesting street, good shot!
ReplyDeleteBusy looking street scene, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy shorts are still a couple of months away. boohoo.
ReplyDeletesizzling along the street. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper street shot, love the effect that you've used perfect for a hot day...and bacon :) I know just how you felt before the doc eased your mind about the skin things Tanya last year I had a couple of friends around for a swim, they noticed a mark on my back and insisted I make an appointment for the next day.. didn't sleep a wink that night, convinced it was something dreadful, it was fine phew! But you are right, definitely worth getting these things checked out!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day around town!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of hot weather, but I would take some right about now! I don't know how I missed your post from yesterday Tanya, but I'm so glad everything turned out ok when you went to the dermatologist. Growing up just a few blocks from the Atlantic ocean in Jacksonville Beach, I did the same things you did. Always in the sun with no sunscreen (usually baby oil…yuck) and now my skin is paying the price. About 10 years ago, I had a mole removed from my arm and the lab results came back as a dysplastic nevus which apparently could have turned into melanoma had I waited much longer. I had a huge chunk of skin around the area removed and then I had to go to the dermatologist every three months to be checked for several years after that incident. Now I am down to going once a year for what I call my yearly "mole patrol". Very stressful but I'm not taking any chances!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the weather, then I read that this nice picture was taken a while ago... A really perfect choice for this theme day!
ReplyDeleteYou’ve made a great Theme Day post. I'm glad you picked this to share with us. So glad you got the good news at the doctor's, too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an interesting street:-)
ReplyDeleteOh I think bacon is always a good idea!
ReplyDeleteIt has been ages since I have visited there, they continue to remove all of the parking spaces and expect you to park somewhere distant so I just end up different places.
ReplyDeleteThis scene looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the market is in no shortage of visitors! Terrific shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful theme day shot!
ReplyDeleteI like the colours in this picture, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI've visited this market many time but never for the bacon fest ! That's probably just as well. Normally, they are chock full of fresh produce. It was really heart-warming to read all the comments from your bloggy friends who are concerned for your health.
ReplyDeleteYour market looks fantastic. Love the shot, Tanya.
ReplyDeleteJust read yesterday's posting...reminds me how I feel about going to the dentist. When you find a person you trust it helps a lot. Glad you are okay and good on you for sharing the experience.
This is a great street shot, we don't have bacon like I knew on the other side of the atlantic :-(
ReplyDeleteA great street scene.
ReplyDeleteNice street view and nice attendance!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see people in shorts. THe weather is warming up here!
ReplyDeleteI missed seeing your Random 5 post. I'm glad to read that your skin issue was taken care of, I would have been scared, too.
ReplyDeleteA Bacon Fest sounds like fun. There's nothing better than the smell of fried bacon! But bacon and hot dogs together don't sound all that appetizing!
Sorry the bacon and heat didn't mix well, but it does sound like fun!
ReplyDeleteHot people and bacon? No, doesn't sound good at all. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool street photo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and interesting street scene, good choice for this theme!
