Bookmobile

And one more photo of the parade. Here's the back of the Botetourt County Bookmobile and the emergency vehicles leading the way.

  2. Glad that you enjoyed your Christmas parade. I think that its great that emergency service vehicles joined in. Kids like to see them - especially the fire engines. - Dave

  4. If you lived in one of those houses, you could watch the parade from your balcony and the comfort of your home.

  5. Oh, no -- I almost missed the parade. So glad you went too. I love the view of the street in this photo and the tracktor in the 1st one.
Ours was Saturday evening and we took a peak of it from one of the bridges over from the parking structure to the mall on the way to Borders, just when an excellent HS marching band playing.
I've seen bookmobiles driving thru small towns in the Southwest.
Rock Band seems to be on top of many lists - it led my son to start fooling with my old electric guitar & start taking lessons.
The twins club sounds great. At work I met a man with boy/girl twins - he said he couldn't believe people would as him if they are identical :).
And freshly baked blueberry muffins - wow - I manage eggs/waffles on the weekends but that's all.
Sorry for the lengthy comment; stay warm.

I have enjoyed your parade pics - I'm not getting out much to see the holiday stuff this year.

  7. In other words, the bookmobile is the little red caboose of the parade. ;)

  8. Well no Gramma Ann, Santa was the "little red caboose" but there was a lull in the parade after the bookmobile, lol.

LOL Knoxville, I'll put a good word in, I'm sure I have alot of pull around town, lol.

Thanks everyone for the visit and nice comments!

  13. It's great to have Bookmobiles in the country and smaller towns, or even in neighborhoods far from public libraries. In Montpellier our Bibliobus (bus library) is a service that is going to be "closed down" and I find that sad.

  14. YAY! Bookmobiles! We tried to get our past library CEO to start one here but she said it was too much work. But we have a new CEO now. ;-)

I think a lot of SAHMs, older people and shut-ins would LOVE a bookmobile here.

  20. I don't know what I love more, the bookmobile or the ponies. I won a contest once for the New Jersey Library Association with a story I wrote about how the bookmobile turned me on to reading. Hmm, now that I'm thinking about it, I also won a talent award for writing a story about my pony. Guess that shows you should write what you're passionate about!
