Monday Murals

Lynchburg, Va

I shot this in 2 photos as it is pretty long. I'll show the other half next week. The little girl in last Monday's photo is painted below this one.

Linking to Monday Murals

Oh and thanks for some of the info regarding the stencil. I didn't know that in stencil work people just keep randomly adding. That's an interesting concept :)

  1. That's a cute one Tanya! Love the dog.

  2. That mural makes a wall that you'd definitely now look twice at- bright and breezy! Look forward to the next part ;-)

  3. I love that mural section ~ especially the "no fishin' sign (*grin*) and the sky. The artist really captured the blue of a mid-summer sky, and the clouds are great! I think clouds are deceptively hard to paint realistically (though maybe that's because I lack the talent for it!)

  4. I don't know how you not only get a photo up everyday, but they all seem to link to a theme! You go girl!

  5. That's cool! Well, except for the "No fishin'" part. :-) We don't have many murals here. I think graffiti would be the more appropriate term.

  6. I think this is a cute mural, those boys walking with their dog. Not something you would see here in NYC. :-)

  7. This is a neat mural -- I look forward to seeing the other half. That 'No Fishing' sign seems somewhat cruel, however.

  12. I like it! I wonder why there is no fishing in the James River?

  13. This is a sweet image. Walking in the tall corn must be quite an adventure for children. The dog looks a little block-ish, which makes him all the more endearing. The mural in general is kind of folk arty. Looking forward to the next installment next week. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  15. I really love this mural! It just screams SUMMER to me! And thanks for letting me know there's a Mondays Murals meme, because we have our share of murals around here, and I'll join in sometimes!
