Virginia Tech - War Memorial

While touring the campus on Sunday, there was some sort of constuction going on at this memorial. It was taped off so I couldn't get any closer. I didn't know what this was till I got home and researched. You can read more HERE

    I didn't know the story behind this either. I followed the link, and I'm so glad there is this way to honor the fallen. My husband graduated from Tech. I will have to ask him if he remembers visiting this.

    Love the choice of monochrome for this. It makes it more solemn.

    Interesting link Tanya and so many names etched there for eternity. I agree with William you've shot this beautifully. I enjoyed reading about your 'Black Friday' shopping venture..I saw some of it on tv, it looked wild :)

    thanks for the link it was good to read about this Memorial, wonderful shot. I'm glad everywhere one goes there are Memorials in appreciation for those who give their lives for their countries.

    Hi Tanya, I like this image a lot. Very dramatic looking and a lovely memorial.
