Willy Nilly Friday 5 No. 83 - Mad Men Addition

Seeing as how I am totally obsessed with Mad Men right now (on season 6) I am going to feature the American Tobacco Historic District in Durham...which I LOVED!

1)
Lucky Strike! The whole being of Mad Men! (we don't smoke by the way!)

2)

3)
A life size chess game with tobacco leaves, Lucky Strike and the famous bull of Durham!

4)

5)
Is this a Sterling Cooper ad?!

I love Durham...we venture down to Raleigh quite frequently and Durham is about a half hour closer to us but this was our first time to stop...I know we will be back again as there is so much to see and we all just loved the tobacco district! For more info on the American Tobacco Historic District CLICK HERE

And that is my 5 this week! I hope you will join in! Post 5 randoms, link back and visit others! Have fun and have a great weekend!! Thanks for visiting! (now I'm off to watch an episode of Mad Men before bed!)

  7. Wow! Really interesting, Tanya. We have been through there a hundred times and never stopped to see anything. Tobacco may be awful (especially once they started doing those harmful additives) but it's also an important part of American history! Love the chess set!

  10. What an interesting place and that chess set is unique. Lucky Strike was the name of our bowling alley when I was growing up. I never knew this place existed until you shared it. Thanks!
