Abandoned Main Street IX

Pamplin City . Appomattox County

This old hotel actually sits behind Main Street. The hotel was built in the late 1800's as a home but then was converted to a hotel after the owner's wife became depressed following a fire at the family store.

The rain was really coming down when I took these...those are raindrops, not ghostly orbs ;)

  1. Sad history. Rainy day seemed appropriate.

  2. It does look quite spooky!

  3. A rainy day makes these shots all the more fitting.

  4. Wow, I love this house! Especially the pretty gingerbread work and the porch. All it needs is a bit of scraping and least from the outside. I would love to see the porch and the inside. Someone should buy it, fix it up, and love it.

  5. must have really been beautiful at one time!

  6. Looks nice still. Wonder if it could be brought back to life.
    C'mon real estate people...

    Have a Beautiful Day, Tanya!
    Peace :)

  7. I bet that place could really tell some stories....

  8. This place has "good bones." It needs someone who has TLC (and money) for it.

Sorry that visits are rare at the moment. New grandchild, power outages, inconsistent wifi . . .
