I told ya I was going through my archives! I forgot to show you these and sadly I missed Artwalk 2016 so here we go!I am showing you some of my favorite artists:
This is Chris Bruno from Lexington, VA...I love his work, so folksy! You can see his Facebook page HERE
This is a piece done by local Botetourt County artist Ed Bordett. I showed you this painting back when it was a work in progress Right Here ...fun to come back and see it finished!
This is a Roanoke artist "Toobz"...His stuff is different and I like it! I have shown you a couple of his murals HERE
This is the beginning portion of the mural I linked above for you...adding this here so I can join in with Tex's Good Fences ;) If you want more info on Toobz CLICK HERE
This is Gerry Hubert, an artist from Roanoke. He was also one of my favorites, especially his stuff from around Roanoke. You can learn more about him HERE
Have a great day :)

Hello, the art show looks nice. I see a few pieces I like! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteDo you know Tanya that I live in something of a cultural desert? We have no galleries or museums within 50 or more miles and we never ever get local exhibitions. I so envy your chance to see live art like that.
ReplyDeleteWe have a population of 7,000 and our downtown stores are, for the most part, closed or out of business. We never have any photo or art exhibits here where we live.
DeleteYeah! So it does look like a fun artwalk festival! Lots of really great art and paintings!
ReplyDeleteartwalks sure are popular
ReplyDeleteThe first two paintings are wonderful! And Hubert's work. What a wonderful art show! I think there is one in Bend every year and I can't wait for that, as well as the Quilt Show. Hope you are doing well! We're out of here by the end of September, God-willing!
ReplyDeletei like events like these but in this area, most artist who participate will not let you photograph their work. i always feel so sad about that!!!
ReplyDeletenice art!!!
I've seen nothing like it!.......Toobz that is. And I LIKE it very much.
ReplyDeleteYou have some very talented people in your area. We love going to art shows and most of the art in our house here in Florida is by local artists! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe tent shelters remind me of a similar art festival held here each June in one of our parks.
ReplyDeletea very sturdy fence in the photo
ReplyDeleteinteresting artwork and fence :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very cool! I love that bike, and the nighttime scene. Awesome that you also got to meet the artists!
ReplyDeleteneat talented works. really like the first one.
ReplyDeleteGreat artwalk (and links), thanks for sharing :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat paintings and fence. I like the bicycle in the 1st pic.
ReplyDeleteLots of very interesting art and a good fence. I'm not sure about (Toobz) artwork...a little to off the wall for my taste.
