Pioneer Road

Ashlyn and I ran to the grocery store yesterday and it was such a nice day out so we drove around a little. I had wanted to take this little road to see if the old house I showed you HERE was still standing. It wasn't. No sign of it anywhere.

1)
Somewhere near Lake Robertson

On this drive back in April, we took some back road to Lake Robertson and came back home through Lexington and Buena Vista. I have shown you a few pics here and there from our little drive and one of the houses I showed has Genie from Buttons For Baga going crazy trying to locate it and I'm really not any help as I can't remember the road(s) we were on...soooo...I'm going to leave her a bread crumb trail if you will to narrow her hunt down! This house above was after the house she's trying to locate.

2)
We were parked here trying to decide where to go have lunch. I know you recognize this place Genie...for others that don't this is Stonewall Jackson's old neighborhood, his house is the brick building on the left.

3)
From Stonewall Jackson's house we then passed this beautiful old home. But I cannot remember how far it was but I'm thinking not too far...

4)
This is the place Genie is trying to find...saw this somewhere after the house above...

5)
Now Genie, if you come across this coffee pot you have gone too far! Good luck, I hope my clues help you! You will have to let me know if you find it!

Some of you might be thinking these places look familiar and you probably saw them right here...I've posted them all before, except #1 :)

That's my 5 this week! I hope you will play along too! Post 5 randoms, link back and visit others!! Have a great weekend!!

I am not sure what this is, found it downtown but am wondering if it's parts from one of the tobacco factories?

1)
Remember that fountain I showed you last Friday? Well this is another part of it!

2) The boys and I just got home. They had a game in Spotswood which is about 2 hours from here. Nick couldn't make it, he would have had to leave work early but Ashlyn came with me so I wouldn't have to drive alone. The boys team won 44-12. Spotswood is just a few miles from Harrisonburg where Ashlyn attended JMU. Her best friend still goes there so she was able to come over and watch the game with us!

3)
Here is Dalton catching a kick return. That is Braden right there too. Dalton ran it down the field and scored a touchdown!

4)
Going over the play at the water cooler...Dalton 21 and Braden 15

5)
Another area of the fountain from #1...I know I just bounced around but I'm tired and can't think straight so off to bed I go!

That's my 5 this week and I hope you will play along too! Just post 5 randoms, link back and visit others! Have a great weekend!

Bei Bei

This is Bei Bei. He was born August 22, 2015. All he did was sleep in this very uncomfortable position while we were there.

I don't know which Panda this is. The Smithsonian has 4 but only Bei Bei and this one were out. You can watch the Pandas on their webcam HERE and you can see how much Bei Bei has grown since his birth HERE
