Random 5 Friday - Grandin Village

A street view of Grandin Village, looking over towards the theatre. I know, I'm still showing you Grandin Village. It's such a cute little area and I love it. "Well if you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" Ha, did everyone else say that as kids? Anyway, obviously the little red/white/blue canopy is a barber shop and next to that, the maroon canopy is a little restaurant/bar called the Community Inn or as the locals call it CI, "not just because it's a lot shorter than Community Inn but it is also considerably easy to spell." lol...taken from their website. We popped in this place and had lunch. Braden and I had hamburgers, which were great. Dalton had chicken strips and I forget what Nick had. This was why we were too full for Pop's ice cream!

So now some glad Nancy is back, yay!

1) Today will be 80 and sunshine. I ordered a bunch of plants for the garden from the FFA at school.

2) See what the Michael Vick dogs are doing now...wonderful! The Vicktory Dogs

3) Do you believe in fairies? Click Here to see some strange "fairy" pictures.

4) One more week of school then it's spring break!

5) And lastly, a great friend of mine was dealt a pretty crappy hand this week. Please keep her in your prayers. Thank you.

Now let's go visit Nancy for more randoms! Have a fantabulous weekend!

  1. Grandin looks very European. Hope you enjoy sunshine and have a lovely weekend. Sorry to hear about your friend; hope everything works out well for her in the end. All the best, Bonny

  2. Grandin Village looks like a fun spot. It's so nice to be outside and play in the garden. Enjoy your new plants. Great about the Vick dogs and yes, I believe in fairies ... once they move in they are "in" to stay. ;) Sorry about your friend -- wishing her well. Happy Friday!

  3. hooray for warmth and upcoming spring break!

  4. What a cute village! 80s - hurray! I hope your friend is okay - I'm sending positive thoughts.

  5. Yes, fairies, of course! This looks like a lovely little town.

Now Grandin is the name of one of my favourite pâtisseries. Check out their photos!

  6. That's funny Tanya, it must be fairy season. Chloe has just built a cabinet of curiosity of a taxonomy of fairies for her art history of museums course. :)

  7. i like to think that fairies do live somewhere. guess it is the little girl in me that enjoys that dream. i love the city line view. a blast from the past. ( :

  8. "Do you take this small village as your lawful wedded..."

  10. A splendid street shot. It looks like a pleasant area, Tanya.

  11. Tanya,
Have fun in your garden. It's still too cold for gardening or farming around here. The grass does have a green tint to it though.

Hope you and the family have a fun spring break and Easter Celebration.

Prayers to your friend and her family. I hope you are able to be part of her support system.

  12. This downtown strip looks like so many that I have visited and loved around small town America. (Special thoughts for your friend.)
