Tuesday's Treasures - Old Cabin

Bedford

I think this poor old place was on Quarterwood Road. It sits near the road up on a small hill. I wanted to get out of the car and poke around but I wasn't sure if it was private property. The land around it was taken care of. I'd love to have some of that old wood!

  1. Nice find Tanya! The brick chimney looks like it might topple over though!

  2. Reclaimed wood is becoming very popular when building homes. I watch Fixer Upper, lol. Love the photos. Old buildings, abandoned and falling down intrigue me.

  4. Well the chimney is still standing! I always wonder what happened to once grand buildings that fall in disrepair. Perhaps we just have to create our own stories. Thanks Tanya for sharing this week and please return soon.

  9. Sigh! Reminds me of an old sheep barn, what I saw for a few years and than it was falling down, as I came back...

  11. If left alone that chimney will stand far longer than anything else.

  13. Beautiful images. Perhaps the owner who is caring for the land has some tender memories of the cabin's great days.
