Murray's Mill was built in 1913 in Hickory, NC. We went down there a few Saturday's ago. I have posted a few pics since then so it may look familiar to you but I hadn't given you the "official" tour till now ;)
Next week I will show you the General Store, which is right across from the mill. For more info on the mill VISIT HERE and I am linking with Tom's Tuesday's Treasures today...Have a great day!

Fascinating, I love old mills.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful site. One would hardly know it was a mill from that first picture. Glad to see this is all still preserved for people to enjoy today.

ReplyDeleteYou got wonderful pictures and angles of the mill!! Favorite pictures are 3, 4, & 5. Love your son by the big wheel, it really shows how huge it is. And I like that pretty green scale.

What a great looking mill. It all seem to still be functional. Do they give grinding demonstrations? How fine this mill has been taking over by the Historical Society.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! What an impressive wheel!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I visited a mill many years ago in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Great memories!
ReplyDeleteOh, Tanya, I just visited one blog that I thought would be hard to equal the treasure but this one does. And so, so glad you post a photo big enough for us to get a good view.
