Is this the cottage that Baby's family supposedly lived in in Dirty Dancing?
no, i was a dummy and didn't read about which cabin till i got home lol...i'm not sure which one this is....i have to sort through my pics and see if i got baby's!
What a lovely cabin! I am so enjoying your photos of the Mountain Lake Lodge.
This speaks Thanksgiving all the way...such a cool place.
wow! what a porch! veranda! lanai! whatever!
Pretty place. I like the veranda and all the colorful trees.
Gorgeous autumn colours Tanya and yes like the others above, love the verandah.. Reminds me of the house I grew up in in Central Africa.
That is a gorgeous cabin! I love it!
i think i'd really like to visit mountain lake lodge! wonderful cabin.
Love your angle with the lichen on the tree. It just adds to all the beautiful autumn colours!
I love that wraparound porch. We stayed in a cabin there, but not that one. It's so lovely up there!
I am loving Mountain Lake :). PS. I so miss having a Thanksgiving Holiday.
Cabin?!? It looks like a mansion to me! :)That Thanksgiving menu sounds heavenly!
I need a weekend there!
Now that's my kind of place!
The more pictures you have posted the more fascinated I have become with this place. Tonight I looked into the pricing, and it is NOT cheap….but such a heavenly setting, We love to go up to Peaks of Otter and happy to learn the new operators are doing a fine job. Hope to get there soon, and then to Douthat in Feb. for the big 75.
This cottage is very charming. I can see why you like the place.
Wonderful cottage view here. I'd love to stay in that cottage.
I am a sucker for wrap-around porch.
Food's not a big deal for me, as far as attractions go...but that porch, that's another thing!
Sounds like a great place to celebrate -- and no dirty dishes. :)
Tanya, Is this cottage as beautiful on the inside as it is the outside? Love the full wrap around deck.
This cottage looks like an amazing spot to spend Thanksgiving with your family... someone else doing the cooking, and you do the rocking on the porch along with exploring!
Hi! I'm so happy you've stopped by and always enjoy your comments :)
