Barn and Train

I had to take a couple of movies back so I took a little side road for a few new pictures. I pulled over to the side of the road to get a picture of this barn (you probably already know what a huge fan of old barns I am) when this train happened by. Perfect timing!

  1. Great picture. I really love being in this part of the country it's so beautiful. I drove through Virginia on I-81 a couple of weeks ago on my way to PA. I wish I had a few days or a week there, but besides rest stops I was only able to stop and take pictures for about a half an hour in Harrisonburg. I hope to return someday.
    Have a great day!

  2. elle est belle cette ferme, comme on imagine les vieilles fermes américaines en France
it is nice this farm, as they imagine the old firm Americans in France

  3. Nicely composed shot Tanya!

  4. I love old barns too... the more raggedy the better when it comes to photographing them and their worn color palette.

AND there's ALWAYS a train somewhere in the Roanoke area, isn't there? Have you been down to the train museum?

    The Blue Ridge Gal

  5. Love love love that peely red paint on the barn topped off by a rusty tin roof! Great capture!

  6. Holy Moly! That WAS perfect timing! The barn is such a looker!

PS. I was to busy running from the hissing snake to get a picture:) I'm not usually such a wimp but it was ginormous!

Hi! I'm so happy you've stopped by and always enjoy your comments :)
