Battle Of Buchanan IV
Back at camp. We spoke with one of the reenactors and he told us that the younger participants camp out all weekend, in character, cooking food from the time period, over a camp fire, etc... The man we spoke with was older and admitted to going to a hotel with a comfy bed lol.

ReplyDeleteOh, my. I was tired, and just trying to play catch up when I clicked on your post and thought I was in the Twilight Zone.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. I love re-enactments. Used to have to shoot them when living in the Deep South.
Oh man... I would have to ditch the troops and go get a bed in a hotel too. Me old back just would not take a cot in a tent.

That would be hard hard to do! I don't think I could do it, even for a weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot though with the river in the background!
Nice and interesting these posts! They made me open an old history book... to read about the Civil War!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this must have been fun for your kids.
