  1. Looks cold, Tanya. A lot of our rivers have been overflowing here in England.

  2. There was a wooden covered bridge on that location and Rt 11 went over it past the train station that was on the north bank. The little street up the hill was the main road and then it turned to the right and came out near the sharp curve.

  3. Hi Tanya
    beautiful photos,
most of all I like landscapes.
    Greetings Sadie

  4. your quote about the life being like a river is so true! Have a great week and thank you for stopping by my blog this week.

  5. Beautiful shots. I'd like to see that river someday... a lot of history along its course.

  6. Knowing as you do about our connection to Virginia, I'm sure you can imagine how much I love the James River. It all started on her shores! It looks almost as wide as an ocean at it's "other" end, and stirs the heart. I love it! Great seeing your pictures of it closer inland...beautiful in a different way!

  7. I can feel the cold of the river. Thanks for sharing with "Through my Lens"

  8. OK, friend....I am finally caught up with your past posts I have missed. I knew immediately this was taken of the James at Buchanan and suspicioned it was taken from the old swinging bridge. I am do HAPPY I got it right. This spot makes for the most beautiful pictures.
